The Classic Captain's Bed is a heavy duty closed-end solid wood bed with an underbed four drawer unit. The solid wood construction and rubbed oil finish make them exceptionally sturdy and easy to maintain regardless of the environment. They are made of solid kiln dried Eastern Pine with French dovetail construction for durability and have wooden drawer glides for durability and longevity. Two three-ply headboards and solid wood side rails assembled by 5 and 1/2 inch lag bolts make a very sturdy bed, and with the drawer unit attached to each end it becomes almost indestructible.
